DNA sequencing facility

The DNA Facility at the Hubbard Center for Genome Studies (HCGS) is located on the 4th floor of the Environmental Technology Building. The facility processes both sequencing and genotyping samples for any on-campus lab. The facility technician (Kelly Vining, kjv@unh.edu) operates an ABI377 and runs two sequencing gels per week for a total capability of up to 128 samples. Gels are currently run on Monday and Wednesday afternoons and the results are posted the following day. All results are posted on the web in the format indicated on the sample order sheet (see below). These can be accessed as follows:

1) Go to http://hcgs.unh.edu/sequencing
2) The required password is 'sequence'.
3) Sequencing results are posted by the gel run date. Each date file contains one zipped file per user containing all sequences (the file name is the last name of the user). Click on your zipped file to begin the download. You will need an unzipping application to access your individual sequence files.
